Making Justice More Accessible, Together

“Being part of Pro Bono Students Canada, you are part of one of the most visionary undertakings I’ve seen in 40 years at the bar” – Justice Rosalie Abella

Bringing together students, lawyers, and organizations to advance access to justice

At Pro Bono Students Canada at the University of New Brunswick, we believe that access to justice should be available to everyone. Through partnerships with community organizations and legal professionals, our student volunteers work to address unmet legal needs and create meaningful change across New Brunswick and beyond.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

We respectfully acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional unceded and
unsurrendered territory of Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet). This territory is covered by the Treaties of
Peace and Friendship which the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq, and Passamaquoddy peoples
first signed with the British Crown in 1725. The treaties did not deal with surrender of lands and
resources but in fact recognized Wolastoqey (Maliseet), Mi’kmaq, and Passamaquoddy title and
established the rules for what was to be an ongoing relationship between nations.

The UNB Pro Bono Students Canada chapter gratefully acknowledges the support of our generous sponsors. Their contributions make it possible for our students to serve communities, support partner organizations, and promote access to justice across New Brunswick and Canada
