Organization
The mission of the NB SPCA is to provide province-wide leadership in humane treatment of animals, enforcement of relevant legislation, public education and advocacy, and to ensure that shelter is provided for neglected or abused animals.
Project
The student will create a memo that outlines the following:
- New animal welfare legislation (such as the shark fin or animal fighting ban) and tabled bills across Canada (especially what is not being done in NB and what is being done in NB but not the rest of Canada in a comparative style).
If the student finishes the above memo before March, students will create a memo that outlines the following:
Best practices for employment in not-for-profit animal welfare law enforcement agencies.
